I wasn't able to accomplish my Halloween practice of watching horror films because I was working and I can't NOT rewatch Haikyuu! The Dumpster Battle!. hahaha
Anyway, that's not why I'm here for. This time, I'm going to share something about a movie I watched a few days back. It's called CTRL.

CTRL (Control) is a story about an influencer couple Nella and Joe. They were admired by many people because their relationship seemed so perfect.

However, when Nella was about to surprise Joe on their anniversary, she caught him kissing another girl. Her emotions got the better of her. What she did was caught on camera and inevitably went viral.
While she was coping with what happened, one of her followers advised her to use CTRL app and erase Joe from her life.
This CTRL app is an AI assistant which promises to remove anyone's digital footprint... it was Joe's for Nella. And since the process might need a much longer time to finish, the app asked her permission to gain administrative control of her PC.
Apparently, things went crazy afterwards. Here's the trailer of the said movie below.

The plot was simple, but it was a good representation of how people tend to rely on AI and AI assistants these days. It showed how we are being controlled by all the latest technology.
It's scary in some way because it's quite relatable. There are a lot of online influencers these days that were loved and adored by many, but were also immediately cancelled because of certain things they did that the netizens didn't like.
It must be difficult to maintain a persona in order to please others. It's just sad how these things actually happen in real life.
The movie was actually good and the actors did a great job in portraying their roles. However, I felt that the ending was rushed. I don't know... I think I just wanted more things to happen, but didn't. But to be fair, it ended in a realistic way which is also pretty commendable.
Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/
