It was trending a few weeks ago, #meaculpa #tylerperry. I was overly curious to know what was happening, why was everyone saying that the movie was a cliche, or that Tyler Perry needed to start doing better.
I sometimes like listening to people which means that the little times I listen to their opinion it gets to influence me and change my perspective without me questioning what they say.
With everyone slandering the movie on X (Twitter), I decided that you know what? I’m going to watch this movie to see how bad it is (I mean how bad can it be). I’m not going to be influenced by some tweet.
I got to watch the movie accidentally, saw it on a friend’s device, and decided maybe this movie would make my day even sore.
I don’t know what the beef with Tyler Perry was but was it a good movie? Absolutely. Was it that predictable? Maybe not.
The picture was good. Should Tyler Perry do better with telling other stories, as a creative you should always try to evolve.
The way the movie was spoken about it felt like death but I got curious about what would later happen, I laughed, and I cursed some characters. I reacted and that should say something about the movie right?
Anyway, I waltzed into the Movies and TV shows community, it’s my first time on Hive and I plan to talk about movies that I have watched especially on YouTube (maybe I will recommend something for you too). It would be mainly centered on Nollywood.
I know this would be a beautiful ride!
Well to me it comes up as a recommendation on the Netflix platform but I didn't know it was bad or that there were more critics than people who liked it. However, after reading you I'll keep an eye on it.
