Birdman (2014)
The film tells the story of Riggan Thomson, an actor with a career in decline trapped in one of his characters, Birdman, and who motivated exclusively by his ego and his desire to demonstrate that he is a good actor decides to produce a play on Broadway.
The film was the winner of many awards, including the best film; It has good performances by Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Edward Norton and Naomi Watts. However, I must warn: all that glitters is not gold, I heard several of my coworkers say that they did not like the film, and that is fine. Not all movies are for everyone, however, I think the technical performance we see here is unquestionable, the director's decision to film the story in sequence shot was very successful.
Baby Driver (2017)
Baby, played by Ansel Elgort, is a young man with an amazing ability to drive cars who work for Doc, the criminal mind of a group specialized in robbing banks. When Baby meets Deborah, played by Lily James, he falls in love, and decides to abandon his criminal life, however, things don't go as planned when he is forced to continue working for Doc.
The movie features performances by Kevin Spacey, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Jon Bernthal, and it has a very good soundtrack that is superbly in sync with the image, which is very nice. If you have already seen Baby Driver, a curious fact that you may not know yet is that if you listen to the film with headphones, you will listen to the music in the same way that the main character does. In this way in the scenes that he listens to the music on one side, you too.
Blue Velvet (1986)
One morning like any other, on the way home after visiting his father at the hospital, Jeffrey Beaumont finds a human ear and decides to take it to the police department, where he gives it to detective Williams, who is also his neighbor. Captivated by the strange ear and its possible provenance, Jeffrey decides to investigate for himself with the help of Sandy, Williams' daughter, something that leads him in a strange and mysterious direction.
A film starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper, Laura Dern and directed by the eccentric David Lynch, who was nominated for an Oscar for this film. Blue Velvet is a 80s classic and a cult movie that I think everyone should see even once.
