This feature film, adapted from the action comic City (2004), was an initial success, unlike other sagas such as John Wick, which debuted with little fanfare and then became successful. Ever since he took on the role of the god of thunder, there has been growing interest in seeing Chris Hemsworth reprise one of his most memorable roles. This mercenary, who has no regard for his own safety and is skilled with weapons and impossible battles, is present once again.
Looking like a cross between Ethan Hunt and John Wick and still the most vicious bounty hunter on screen, Rake is a firearms expert with an impossible body count who appears choreographed with hundreds of extras. It can be said that Sam Hargrave has extensive experience writing action scenes and knows how to get the most out of the leading lady out of it. Before working behind the scenes, he oversaw dangerous sequences in other blockbusters like Atomic (2017) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
We see a lot more blood, gore and violence in Tyler Rake 2, and the story becomes incredibly visceral, which is ideal for this character's dark and enigmatic personality. A violent film with a sequence lasting almost 20 minutes inside a prison that stands out for its technique above all else. And it seems that they set out to film more than the 12 minutes of fake sequence from the first installment, which they did with success. Although Chris Hemsworth's character has no lines of dialogue or an evolution that grabs the audience's attention, his approach to action scenes is befitting of eminent figures in the genre. It is clear that Chris Hemsworth is passionate and interested in this project. like Tom Cruise or Keanu Reeves.
My conclusion is
The purpose of Tyler Rake 2 is to entertain; should not think. It would have been a lot of fun to live that experience in the cinema. a series of absurd scenes that leave you breathless. Given that we're used to seeing Tom Cruise jump out of helicopters, scale the world's tallest building in a harness, or dive off cliffs, it's unlikely this kind of installment will surprise us. However, it is true that this sequel to Russos has nothing to envy, and Chris Hemsworth uses his athleticism to drive the plot forward.
A nice action movie, I appreciated especially the fact that (as in the first one) the action scenes are filmed as if it was in a video game, which is something relatively new... the story is not too deep but ok, probably a little better than the first one (but for sure the main purpose of this kind of movies is not to have original stories but to have good action sequences)
Thanks for sharing your review
if the truth is that scenes are great, it made me feel like I was playing it. Imagine the movie in 3d
Pretty fun movie, the escape from prison was amazing, although in general I prefer the first one.
I think the same as you
