Hello!... I really liked your post, especially the end. The Matrix (at least the one conceived by The Architect) represented what Baudrillard defined as "simulacrum by falsification", in which there is no link between "type" and "replica", because the only true thing is the simulacrum itself, which denies any reality different from it. It is the "Society of the Spectacle" of which Guy Deboard spoke in the 1960s, taken to extremes that the philosophers of that time could not have imagined.
Regarding the film, we have a very similar impression. I am fan of the previous trilogy too, and although I didn't love this fourth installment as much as the previous ones, I must say that I ended up liking it. Maybe because I took the opportunity to see it with very low expectations. In fact yesterday I made a post about my impression of the movie. I'd like to read your opinion about it, if you have some time to read it.
Thanks for your review and for the opportunity to share opinions. Best Regards.
Thank You so much! happy to see someone took time to write a lovely review, i believe it was a good film but i miss the old ones! but we still have them and we can watch them anytime :) I will check it out!
