Hola amigos de Hive! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi opinión sobre una de las más recientes series que he visto en la plataforma de HBO Max, se trata de "And Just Like That" la continuación de la serie "Sex & The City" una de mis series favoritas de todos los tiempos.
Hello friends of Hive! Today I want to share with you my opinion about one of the most recent series that I have seen on the HBO Max platform, it is "And Just Like That" the continuation of the series "Sex & The City" one of my favorite series of all the times.
¿De qué trata la serie?
La serie retoma las historias de 3 de los personajes principales de "Sex & The City". Carrie, Miranda y Charlotte ahora tienen 50 años y nuevas aventuras, muy diferentes a las que veíamos a finales de los años 90, pero sin duda con el mismo sentido del humor y la amistad que las une.
What is the series about?
The series takes up the stories of 3 of the main characters of "Sex & The City". Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte are now 50 years old and have new adventures, very different from what we saw in the late 90s, but without a doubt with the same sense of humor and friendship that unites them.
Mi opinión sobre la serie:
Recuerdo la primera vez que vi a estos personajes en acción y me atraparon completamente con su sentido del humor, sus historias y por supuesto uno de los temas más relevantes de toda la historia, la moda. Personalmente, disfrute muchísimo de la precuela y me encontré muy emocionada cuando supe que, tras 17 años se haría realidad la continuación de esta historia. Sin embargo, también me encontré algo preocupada tras saber que una de sus protagonistas, la increíble Samantha Jones interpretada por la actriz Kim Cattral, no iba a participar en este proyecto por diferencias con el resto del reparto.
La serie contó con 10 capítulos enfocados en las historias de Carrie, Miranda y Charlotte. Cada una de ellas pasaban situaciones completamente distintas, pero, a la vez, se complementaban una con las otras. El enfoque de desarrollar situaciones modernas lo llegue a sentir un poco fuera de control, sobre todo, cuando mezclaban estas situaciones con el humor de la serie. Como, por ejemplo, la obsesión de Charlotte con el tema de la sexualidad de su hija Rose y el no querer caer en el racismo con amigos de color de piel oscura, sí bien estos temas son de mucha importancia, pienso que el enfoque que le dieron en la serie se convirtió en parodia y llegaron a sentirse muy incomodos.
Puedo decir que, me gustó la manera en la que explicaron la ausencia del personaje de Samanta, aunque fue evidente la falta que hizo en la historia.
My opinion on the series:
I remember the first time I saw these characters in action and they completely captivated me with their sense of humor, their stories and of course one of the most relevant themes in all of history, fashion. Personally, I really enjoyed the prequel and I was very excited when I found out that after 17 years the continuation of this story would become a reality, however, I was also a little worried after knowing that one of its protagonists, the incredible Samantha Jones played by the actress Kim Cattral was not going to participate in this project due to differences with the rest of the cast.
The series had 10 chapters focused on the stories of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte. Each one of them went through completely different situations but, at the same time, they complemented each other. The approach of developing modern situations made it feel a bit out of control, especially when they mixed these situations with the humor of the series. For example, Charlotte's obsession with the issue of her daughter Rose's sexuality and not wanting fall into racism with friends of dark skin color, although these issues are very important, I think that the approach they gave it in the series became parody and they became very uncomfortable.
I can say that I liked the way they explained the absence of the character of Samantha, although the lack of this character in the story was evident.
Pensamientos finales y puntuación:
Sí eres fan de la precuela y, deseas ver nuevamente a estos personajes te aseguro que vas a disfrutar mucho esta serie porque, a pesar de las fallas que tiene es una serie muy ligera de ver, y dejando a un lado alguno que otro chiste mal contado, las historias pueden llegar a resultar interesantes. Lo que sin duda, disfrute más de la serie fue el enfoque que le dieron a la industria de la moda y por supuesto a los bellos escenarios de la ciudad de Nueva York.
Mi puntuación para "And Just Like That" es un 6/10.
Final Thoughts and Scoring:
If you are a fan of the prequel and you want to see these characters again, I assure you that you are going to enjoy this series a lot because despite the flaws it has, it is a very light series to watch, and leaving aside the occasional joke told poorly, stories can be interesting. What I undoubtedly enjoyed the most about the series was the approach they gave to the fashion industry and of course to the beautiful settings of New York City.
My score for "And Just Like That" is a 6/10.
Creo que cuando salió esta serie, yo tendría como 9 años y jamás se me paso por la mente ver esta serie nada más por el titulo que se gastaba jajajaja ese titulo me hizo pensar que habrían muchas escenas de sexo y jamás me llamo la atención y ahorita a mis 31 años todavía no se de que se trata, pero debe ser buenísimo para los fanáticos ver una segunda parte de esta serie. Excelente reseña.
Hola amiga, a pesar de que la serie tiene un titulo algo comprometedor jajaja la verdad es que más bien gira en torno a como mujeres que estan en sus 30s manejan distintas situaciones amorosas.
