Today I would like to tell you about a series that I recently found in the Netkix catalog and that I found very interesting, although I must confess that I watched it after the strong insistence of my wife and daughters because I usually hate that kind of plots where people suffer a lot, but I decided to give it a chance after learning that it was mostly about a woman in search of justice and that we could witness this from the beginning, so with a bowl of popcorn (or cotufas as we call them in my country) I decided to watch this series, being pleasantly surprised with all that the plot had to offer.
Hoy quisiera hablarles de una serie que encontré recientemente en el catalogo de Netkix y que me pareció muy interesante, aunque debo confesarles que la vi tras la fuerte insistencia de mi esposa y mis hijas porque por lo general yo detesto ese tipo de tramas donde las personas sufren mucho, pero decidí darle una oportunidad tras conocer que se trabada más que todo de una mujer en busca de justicia y que podíamos ser testigos de esto desde el inicio, así que con un tazón de palomitas (o cotufas como las llamamos en mi pais) me dispuse ver esta serie, quedando gratamente sorprendido con todo lo que la trama ofrecía.

Moon Dong-eun is a woman who seeks revenge after being brutally assaulted during her time at school, where her classmates robbed her, insulted her, made fun of her and the most serious of all was the physical aggression, They dared to burn her skin using a curling iron (I have to admit that all those images were very difficult for me to watch). To top it off, she was abandoned by her mother who signed a deal in which she received a certain amount of money in exchange for taking her daughter out of school and admitting that she had not been able to integrate into the school. Since then Moon Dong-eun lives to meticulously plan her revenge, studies and works to improve herself intellectually and economically, collects information from her enemies and finally, with the help of a doctor who became an inseparable friend and ally, ends up realizing her long-awaited revenge.
Moon Dong-eun es una mujer que busca venganza luego de haber sido brutalmente agredida durante su estancia en el colegio, allí sus compañeros de clases la robaban, la insultaban, se burlaban de ella y lo más grave de todo fue la agresión física pues se atrevieron a quemar su piel usando un rizador de cabello (tengo que admitir que todas esas imágenes fueron muy difíciles de ver para mi) para colmo fue abandonada por su madre quien firmó un trato en el cual recibía cierta cantidad de dinero a cambio de sacar a su hija de la escuela y admitir que no se había podido integrar a la misma. Desde entonces Moon Dong-eun vive para planear meticulosamente su venganza, estudia y trabaja para poder superarse intelectual y económicamente, recaba información de sus enemigos y finalmente, con la ayuda de un médico que se volvió un amigo y aliado inseparable, termina de concretar su tan esperada venganza.
One of the things I enjoyed the most when watching this series, is that although we are constantly seeing images of what was the torture of that poor girl when she was a teenager, from the first chapter it is possible to see her determination and overcoming, she was just a child, very vulnerable and also completely alone, so it was inevitable that she collapsed on many occasions and broke down in tears, something very difficult to bear for those of us who are parents because it is very hard to imagine our children in a similar situation, but at the same time it is comforting to see that there is a faint light at the end of the tunnel that is widening and becoming clearer as the protagonist grows and overcomes, but best of all is that it does not take too long for it, from the first chapter we can see it and that makes your frustration is replaced by satisfaction.
Una de las cosas que más disfruté al ver esta serie, es que si bien constantemente vamos viendo imágenes de lo que fue la tortura de esa pobre chica cuando era una adolescente, desde el primer capítulo ya es posible ver su determinación y superación, era tan solo una niña, muy vulnerable y además estaba completamente sola, así que era inevitable que colapsara en muchas ocasiones y se quebrara en llanto, algo muy difícil de soportar para quienes somos padres porque es muy duro imaginar a nuestros hijos en una situación similar, pero al mismo tiempo es reconfortante ver que hay una tenue luz al final del túnel que va ensanchándose y haciéndose más nítida a medida que la protagonista va creciendo y superándose, pero lo mejor de todo es que no pasa demasiado tiempo para ello, desde el primer capítulo podemos verlo y eso hace que tu frustración sea reemplazada por la satisfacción.
I also liked that she finally found the help and understanding she didn't have when she was a teenager, for example in the lady who rented her the house, she was at some point for her something like a comfort, a motherly support, Jung Sung - Il who also decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and not to blindly believe in Park Yeo-jin just because she was his wife, and finally we have Ju Yeo-jeong who was a great support in every way, and I liked that the relationship between them was slow and very realistic.
También me gustó que ella finalmente encontrara la ayuda y comprensión que no tuvo cuando era una adolescente, por ejemplo en la señora que le alquilaba la casa, fue en algún momento para ella algo así como un consuelo, un apoyo maternal, Jung Sung - Il que también decidió darle el beneficio de la duda y no creer ciegamente en Park Yeo-jin solo porque era su esposa, y finalmente tenemos a Ju Yeo-jeong quien fue un gran apoyo en todos los sentidos, y me gustó que la relación entre ellos fue lenta y muy realista.
I also liked to see the decline of Park Yeo-jin who thought she was untouchable, this is a way to show that when there is justice, real justice this is completely blind and does not distinguish between rich and poor, she really was a vulnerable woman who relied on her mother, her money and the friends she had around her, but once she was left alone she had to face her fateful reality.
También me gustó ver el declive de Park Yeo-jin que se creía intocable, esta es una forma de demostrar que cuando hay justicia, verdadera justicia esta es completamente ciega y no distingue entre ricos y pobres, ella realmente era una mujer vulnerable que se amparaba en su madre, su dinero y los amigos que tenía a su alrededor, pero una vez que se quedó sola tuvo que enfrentarse a su fatídica realidad.

Siempre he querido verla y no se porque la pospongo, lo triste de la historia es que en Corea del Sur hubo una chica que sufrió lo mismo que la protagonista, pero desafortunadamente no tuvo la misma fortaleza y tuvo un final fatídico el año pasado.

I recently finished this series too and as much as I was skeptical at first, the storyline was so intriguing to follow. The acting was great as well although the ending sort of hinted a 2nd revenge sequel.
Yes, most likely there will be a sequel, since the revenge of another protagonist's father is pending, it is a great story.
