Durante la época de los 2000s y los 90s el cine de la animación japonesa, vivió una de las mejores de sus historia, gracias al gran trabajo realizado por el Studio Ghibli, estudio quien de la mano de la mente maestra Hayao Miyazaki, revoluciono a toda la industria de la animación, no solo en Japón si no en el mundo entero, con obras de la talla de la Princesa Mononoke, La tumba de las luciérnagas, El castillo ambulante, Porco Rosso, entre otras cintas de gran renombre, para esta ocasión hablaremos de una de las obras que transcendió a todo el mundo y se convirtió en ese momento como la mejor película animada del año en los Oscar, siendo la única en la historia estilo anime que ha ganado hasta la fecha, y para Japón esta película había sido por muchos años en la cinta más taquillera de su historia, hoy hablare de ella luego de que ayer la disfrutara junto a mi sobrino pequeño, sin mas que decir comencemos.

El viaje Chihiro es una de las obras mas transcendentales en la animación, contándonos una historia que si bien está llena de fantasía, no deja de ser una alegoría de la realidad que vivimos todos en algún momento de nuestra vida, en esta ocasión está representada por Chihiro, una niña de 12 años quien junto a sus padres decide abandonar el lugar en donde han vivido toda su vida, esto a nuestra protagonista le sienta mal y se niega a la idea de cambiar de vida, durante el viaje estos se desvían del camino y terminan en una especie de túnel oscuro dentro de un bosque bastante recóndito, aquí el padre y la madre entran para investigar este pequeño túnel, que al pasarlo entra en un pequeño pueblo que a primera vista parece abandonado, conforme investigan se dan cuenta que hay un gran banquete de comida recién echo, los padres de chihiro no dudan en comer en grandes cantidades, aquí nuestra protagonista temerosa se niega a esto, pero lo que sucedería a continuación daría inicio a la trama de la cinta, primeramente sus padres se transformas en unos cerdos y tan pronto cae la noche, comienza a salir criaturas y espíritus quienes han vivido en este pueblo por años, atrapando a chihiro en este pequeño mundo, en ese momento mientras intenta escapar, conoce a Haku, un aparente humano quien ayuda a nuestra protagonista a salvarla de este mundo, el cual le explica que la única forma es trabajando para Yubaba una vieja bruja a cargo de un baño de agua termales para estos espectros y espíritus; he aquí donde comenzaría esa travesía de nuestra héroe para salvar a sus padres y volver de nuevo a su hogar.

No recuerdo si en mi niñez había visto esta película, recuerdo mucho la estética y el diseño de los personajes, pero teniendo en cuenta que el estudio Ghibli tiene una caracterización muy similar en su estética y personajes, así que acepte me impresionara con esta obra maestra como si fuera la primera vez que la veía, verla con mi sobrino me dio dos perspectiva distinta de como observar una misma cinta, primeramente hablare tomando en cuenta lo que ve un niño en la cinta, teniendo en cuenta que es una película para todo publico el ver lo que pensaba un niño me resultaba curioso, básicamente la estética, los colores y los carismático de los personaje era lo que el disfrutaba, cuando comenzamos a ver el film, el le intimidaba el echo de que en Netflix había como portada un “sin cara”, y el comentaba que esta sería una película de terror, yo insistía que no, aunque sabía que habían criaturas que podían llegar a ser perturbadoras, Durante los primeros minutos él se sentía asustado y angustiado por los sucesos de la película, y conforme avanzaba la trama se sentía mas intrigado y sus miedos desaparecían con los acontecimientos de la historia, al finalizar la película saque una conclusión que también va acorde a mi opinión sobre la cinta.

I do not remember if in my childhood I had seen this film, I remember a lot the aesthetics and the design of the characters, but taking into account that the Ghibli studio has a very similar characterization in its aesthetics and characters, so I accepted to be impressed with this masterpiece as if it was the first time I saw it, watching it with my nephew gave me two different perspective of how to observe the same tape, first I will speak taking into account what a child sees in the tape, taking into account that it is a film for all audiences to see what a child thought was curious to me, basically the aesthetics, the colors and the charismatic characters was what he enjoyed, when we started watching the film, he was intimidated by the fact that Netflix had a "faceless" as a cover, and he commented that this would be a horror movie, I insisted that it was not, although I knew that there were creatures that could be disturbing, During the first few minutes he felt scared and distressed by the events of the film, and as the plot progressed he felt more intrigued and his fears disappeared with the events of the story, at the end of the film I drew a conclusion that also goes according to my opinion about the film.

Mientras veía la cinta estaba fascinado por la estética y lo increíble de los escenarios, la ambientación esta dibujado con un detalle hermoso y cada escena esta cargada con un simbolismo original y con sus personajes que todos y cada uno tiene una razón de ser y estar, hasta personaje como el sin cara toma parte importante dentro de la cinta, cuando solo tiene dos o cuatro líneas de dialogo, todo esto hace a una película convertirse en una obra maestra mas considerando que sea una animación.

Ahora más allá de lo hermoso y bonito de la película, esta su mensaje detrás de la historia, que comprendí luego de ver a mi sobrino, es un reflejo de lo que vivió nuestra protagonista, El Viaje de Chihiro, es una narrativa de un viaje desde una etapa de la niñez hasta alcanzar la madurez, en un principio vemos eso a una tímida Chihiro con miedo a superarse a ella misma, a dejar el pasado atrás y a crecer personalmente, en este viaje entendido tres valores importante que le permitirán entender su vida a partir de ahora, primeramente el superar sus miedos por su cuenta, el valor de la amistad encontrándose en el camino a personas que no podrán pensar como tu pero serán parte de tu desarrollo como persona, y por último tenemos el amor hacia los demás Haku y Chihiro, ambos se ayudan mutuamente pese a las adversidades y esto se demuestra al final en una de las escenas mas bonita de la cinta, en donde y esto tiene algo de spoilers, Chihiro hace recordar la identidad de nuestro amigo, en donde esté aquí con lágrimas en los ojos le agradece a esta por ayudarlo a encontrarse así mismo dejándonos finalmente uno de los mensajes mas bonito de toda la película.

En conclusión, el viaje de chihiro contiene muchos mensajes dentro de su narrativa, como lo puede ser también una de ellas que no desarrolle con tanto ímpetu, es la situación laboral de la población adolescente en Japón, algo que hoy por hoy sigue siendo curioso de entender para nosotros de occidente, como de cierta forma se pierde esa inocencia a muy temprana edad, entre muchos matices que pequeños o grandes le dan un significado tan trascendental e importante para esta película, y es por eso que para mí esta cinta es considerada toda una obra maestra, así que mi calificación es de sin duda……..

Yo vi por primera vez a esta peli cuando era un niño pequeño y no me gusto del todo, había algunos personajes que me asustaban y todo era súper raro. Luego cuando la vi de adulto, fue cuando por fin pude apreciarla como la obra maestra que es. Me pregunto si has visto los films de Makoto Shinkai? Te lo menciono porque en el género de anime me parece que ha sido el mejor creador en los últimos años.
Lo mismo sentia mi sobrino cuando lo veia, creo que el miedo se le fue quitando cuando veia las acciones de los espiritus y los montruo que salen en la cinta, y solo he tenido la oportunidad ver Your Name y es de los genios actuales del cine en anime 😊
