This drama is a fusion historical drama by KBS that aired from January to March 2010.

In the Joseon Dynasty, when slaves were owned by their owners and treated like objects, the story is about Chuno who catch the fugitive slaves in the midst of confusion right after the outbreak of the Byeongja Horan.

It was the first Korean drama to be filmed with a Red One camera, and it became a hot topic by focusing the attention of viewers from the first broadcast with a more dynamic and splendid video.

The action scene, which appeared 5 minutes after the first episode started, was immediately talked about, and it rose to the ranks of masterpieces by raising the viewership rating of 22% from the first episode, and the quality is maintained until the last episode, and in the final episode, the viewer ratings of about 36% were raised and stopped.

Chuno Special Movie

It is still being talked about 10 years later, and above all, the reaction of overseas fans who purchased and watched the DVD was hot.

What was Netflix doing? If it was uploaded to Netflix, it was expected that it would be hugely popular.

Even if you look at it now, the splendid actions and the excellent performances of the actors warm the heart.

I first learned about the term Chuno through this drama.

The appearance of the Chuno was a bit like something out of a Chinese historical drama.

It is said that the director is a fan of the movie "300", so he demanded a body like the movie from the gangsters.

Usually historical dramas are more tightly wrapped up than modern dramas, so it's hard to see the insides, but it was a drama that filled the screen with the copper-colored skin of naked men.

Jang Hyuk’s martial arts performance, armed with Jeet Kwon Do, was also amazing.

In particular, the action smoke unfolds in line with the intense sound of the background music, but when it stops for a while and then connects to slow motion, it is a wonderful scene that has never been seen in any previous dramas, so I drooled while watching it.

Also, when it comes to historical dramas, I've seen a lot of conflicts between the king and other high-ranking officials and servants in the palace, as well as the royal battles.

And because men said they were Unnie, I suddenly started an etymology search for "Unnie".

5.jpg

It was really a feast for the characters in this drama.

All the famous actors of Korean dramas gathered and each seriously acted out their stories, and all the characters were telling the reason for their existence.

It was heartbreaking to see the miserable appearance of Joseon after the outbreak of the Byeongja Horan, the suffering of the grassroots, and the struggle to overcome it.

The emotions of the actors just fluctuated.

8.jpg

The most pitiful character is Dae-gil, played by our Jang Hyuk, no matter what anyone says.

His hounding, terrifying obsession to catch a runaway slave was in fact his desire to find his first love.

I wandered for ten years to find my first love 'Unnie', but she became someone else's wife and in the end, she was a very sad character to die for her.

Her pure love she shared with her when she was a child, her heartbreaking but unbreakable love by her betrayal, the flame-like love that sacrificed everything.. He was truly the incarnation of love.

On the other hand, the icon of first love, Eonyeon, was hated by viewers.

Beautiful beauty that all men can't move, and the courage to leave everything behind, It was good to see him trying to show some kind of loyalty between his first love and his last love.

But she is unforgivable for making our Daegil difficult.

General Choi and Wangson, who were chasing down slaves with Daegil, also received much love.

As Dae-gil was fondly thinking of the two dead, There was no way to stop the tears from welling up in the scene of crying while eating.

Viewers across the country, who were engulfed in sorrow, could not stand it. There was a petition to keep the two alive, and in the end, they came back. OTL.

At the end, the two men start farming on the land that Dae-gil bought and wait for Dae-gil to finish. Daegil is dead... ㅜㅜ

Especially memorable was the OST. Being Latin in a historical drama was a really new experience.

A lot of viewers waited with anticipation even before the drama started, but the teaser was really great.

Change OST

Gloomy Thirtis's song "Change", which is often used in entertainment these days, is full of excitement and made the action scenes stand out even more.

Mark OST

When I heard this music, my heart was pounding. Im Jae-beom's stigma is still being sung in various ways, from congratulatory songs to cover songs.

Mincho Rebellion OST

In the case of MC Sniper's "Mincho Rebellion," it was quite successful by grafting the genre of hip-hop into a historical drama.

Biikyeonri OST

And "Biikyeonri" is a wonderful song where you can feel our tradition, which is often performed at traditional music concerts these days. It's an OST you can't throw away.

It hurts my heart to see our poor Daegil again, but while listening to Chuno's OST, I try to run with my body drooping from Corona.

Interesting historical drama, the way you describe it in your review is quite sentimental, it seems that every fact is shocking. I think Korean cinema is excellent in broadcasting about this field of actions.
