What Does it Take to Bring A Little Hope in One's Life?

Have you ever thought about the hope necessary to keep one going? Often times it's in the little gestures, like a smile or just acknowledgement: "I see you; you are worthy." "You are enough."

Recently, I was training my assistant the ways of photography. She wanted to delete more less-than-flattering pictures than I did. I explained to her that photography can be like the Maker: a flaw can be redeemable. So, perhaps we want to look away, forget what makes us worthy, but the Maker sees beyond the flaws, just as a photographer enhances the focus using lighting, angles and various techniques. There are different types of photographers, some use photoshop which completely transforms the image; I don't use photoshop. My goal in photography is to enhance what is naturally beautiful and pleasing. I hope these pictures inspire hope in you, much like the volunteers inspired hope in those at the refugee camp (day 4 of our journey).

These volunteers also enhance what is good by a smile, a distraction with the videographer's camera drone, painting nails or playing sports or mentoring others in good conversation and problem-solving.

We each have a gift to give; we just have to find it and enhance it. The Creator sees it already; have you found the gifts and talents you have within you to share? It doesn't take much to change a life.

Here are just a few of the many moments that Hope Humanitarian volunteers brought light to what is good and wonderful in a time that can often make it difficult to find. Hope Humanitarian has brought so many gifts to others.

Hope Humanitarian Organization

Read on their website, "An Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the University of Utah, passionate humanitarian and adventure lover, Dr. Franklin started Hope Humanitarian in May 2016 in response to the world's refugee crisis. Service has always been an important part of her life, whether it is caring for abused animals, researching heart disease to be able to decrease cardiac-related deaths, or helping as many people as possible, in as many places as possible through Hope Humanitarian... Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said "Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?'" Hope Humanitarian seeks to answer that question by serving those in acute need and by offering the opportunity for volunteers to join us in humanitarian trips."

Some good things to think about.

We each have a gift to give; we just have to find it and enhance it. The Creator sees it already; have you found the gifts and talents you have within you to share? It doesn't take much to change a life.

Hope humanitarian is really doing a great job helping and putting smiles to the face of the less privilege, refugees and people in need. I don't really like Photoshop too it makes me feel my pictures are fake. We all have what we can give to help people it just that some of us falls to develop and used those gifts and some even feel that those gift are insignificant so they choose not to used it.

Is there a way one can support this vision of bringing hope to people who desire it?
