Whoever is behind @leo.voter is biased as fuck and is doing a terrific job at "improving retention" for some of the established writers in the @leofinance community while almost completely ignoring other great content creators...

Sort:

And no, I'm not talking of myself here. I am not a great content creator, I'm clever enough to realize that. But what about this guy? https://peakd.com/@sapphirecrypto/posts
I would for sure curate plenty of his posts if I were a curator.

I remember @khaleelkazi mentioning at some point that some @leofinance community members have complained that the curation account of leofinance is into curating just a bunch of users while ignoring most of the others. Khal promised a fix.

But I see none... I don't know who is doing the curation job for @liketu, my gut feeling tells me it is @elmerlin doing it all by himself, but the curator/s of @leofinance should take some curating classes from this guy.

This guy copy/pastes his website content everywhere.

Leo is an afterthought.

As such, this content has ZERO value to leofinance.io.

Why would you want leo.voter, which is delegations from community members, to pay someone money to do this?

Not incentivising this behaviour is prudent.

We should be thanking leo.voter curators for understanding the value of content.

You're right. My bad. We should be thanking leo.voter curators indeed for upvoting one single user 29 times in one weeek while completely ignoring others. I'm such a moron sometimes...

Much of the voting is done based on people sharing their posts / consistently writing good content

  • the new author of the week initiative

Not perfect but it has improved. If you have real feedback / suggestions, open ears from the team

Khal, while I have an insane respect for what you have made out of Leofinance so far, the current approach of leo.voter is not the most productive imo.

As suggestions I would recommend a weekly upvotes limit per account, checking on the curation patterns of certain curators once in a while, curate even the lower class of writers to incentivize them in doing better, etc. More in what will probably be a future post...

it’s definitely not the most productive. Really great curation would still be imperfect

I think we are a ways away from really great curation. It’s an imperfect world and now with AI it’s even harder.

We’re implementing more strats

1/2

one big thing we’ve done is Author of the Week

Along with that building out a team of ambassadors

Curation will always cause complaints. Nobody will ever be perfectly happy

It’s gotten 10x better the past year and will only improve

2/2

Hope to see more improvements along the way.
