RE: Is it profitable to own POSH?

in LeoFinancelast year

Another thing to keep in mind is that posh is hardcapped at 1m supply, after that runs out we can't print any new POSH and the reward mechanism will start to change. Potentially to give delegators and sharers less posh, starting with POSH that has already once been bought back currently residing in the @poshtoken.wallet.

Sort:

What will happen to POSH when all the tokens have been minted? Will there be a new buyback system? Will POSH be used in Holozing for example for discounts or something else?

There's no further buyback system planned for now, maybe in the future. POSH will help fund another startup project here soon so we hope the value people get by holding posh will hold up demand on its own rather than us buying more back.

When the next round of distribution occurs of bought back posh being distributed we hope people will continue to delegate so that posh can have a good history of helping kickstart great projects on hive and in the same way get some value from what it helped fund. In this case POSH has close to a million zing now and a million zing have been distributed to other posh holders so hopefully people pay attention to the value they can get by holding posh and the diverse ways they may passively earn other tokens by holding it.

A lot can be done but currently not in a rush to plan it out as busy with other things. A usecase for POSH is not planned for zing or the new project yet but we'd love to entertain the idea to use it as a "marketing" tool since it was mainly earned by promoting hive on web2 it would make sense to use it to promote your own content/other on some of the projects it helped kickstart.

A wonderful future for POSH 😍
