Trump Is Back!

HIS SPEECH WAS HARD HITTING

IMG_3037.jpeg

The world is about to change in serious ways. Today, President Trump assumed office for the second time, becoming the 45th and 47th president of the United States. He's also the first "convict" to hold the office. Mind you he's not the first offender, he is just the first one to be successfully prosecuted and convicted. I can think of ex presidents of the US that have done much, much worse that Trump.

I actually missed the inauguration. For some reason, I've always watched it going back to George Bush Senior. I was on my daily walk and we had a beautiful sunset today. The light was doing amazing things in the sky. It was freezing but I did stay out longer than I originally planned because of this.

I did catch his speech at the end though. He dropped some epic bombs, especially with his executive orders. The roll back some of the work done by the Democrats significantly. I think the next four years are going to be wild. The democrats are going going to have to fight everything in the courts because they have nearly no political power during this Trump term. Already I've seen signs of this with; they've gone after Elon Musk affiliated "Department Of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) with an impending lawsuit. I think we are going to see a lot of that in the coming months.

  • Immigration: He went after the southern border, effectively declaring it closed. He also kind of went after Mexico by changing the name of the "Gulf of Mexico" to "Gulf of America"! I thought was was a little bit petty. He declared the Mexican cartels as foreign terrorist organisations, finally, and declared war on the domestic drug gangs affiliated to foreign cartels such as MS13. He also promised to deport A LOT of folks. In my opinion he should take a look at the northern border as well. A significant amount of people illegally enter the USA via the north, which is easier than the south. He should also monitor the airports. A good portion of illegal immigrants in the USA arrive "legally" via the various ports and just never leave.

  • LGBTQ: He went after "gender" policies and declared that hence forth, in the USA, there are only two genders: "male" and "female". There will be law suits, I'm sure of it.

  • Race: He went after provisions for racial "equality", declaring the USA "merit based only". I can imagine this will be debated and pondered in the coming months.

  • The Environment: He ended the so-called "Green New Deal" and promised to harness America's natural resources, especially oil. The United States does have one of the largest oil reserves in the world, if not the largest, and Trump has given the go-ahead to use it. He ended the Electric Vehicle mandates stating "you can now buy any car you want". So, basically, the all-American gas guzzlers are back!

  • DOGE: He mentioned the "Department Of Government Efficiency", the Elon Musk affiliated project, but didn't mention crypto directly. This was a little disappointing to some and the market did dip a little after the speech.

  • Space: He shared his dream for the USA to lead the space race once again, such that the flag of the United States of America shall be planted on the planet Mars.

  • War: He plans to end all wars the United States is currently participating in, taking time to celebrate the hostage deal in Israel, and intends NOT to start or participate in any wars going forward.

  • TAX: He will tax other countries, and their citizens that gain from American companies and resources, to enrich US citizens. Basically, this is his "America First" policy. He will "reduce inflation" and bring the cost of goods down so the good life can return to the country.

He did say a few more things but those were my major takeaways from his speech. Like some of this, of course, but some of them have nothing to do with me, so I have no real opinion about them, especially since I'm not an American. I do know that our government here in the UK tend copy, or at least align with, anything that happens in the USA. We do have a left-leaning government here so much of this will be resisted, especially those to do with social issues and the environment. If we, however, want to continue benefiting from that mighty dollar, we kind of have to fall in line so this will have a real effect on life in the UK too.

It's going to be a crazy four years. Buckle up.

Anyway,

Peace & Love,

Adé

I expect that a lot of things he says will not happen as he is an epic bullshitter. People may still buy EVs as they are cheaper to run and renewable power can be cheap too. He's already grifting with his memecoin that may well crash. I also expect him to fall out with various people, including Musk. He's a crap leader and needs to be called out on all his lies.

I'm not a fan :)

Haha. I can tell you're not a fan. He's pretty divisive. Most people either love him or hate him. It would be a disaster if he fell out with Musk. That'd be huge.

Thanks for the summary. Saves me having to read or listen to it myself. 😁

haha. you're welcome :).

Yeah disruptive years ahead. We will see what he will deliver in the end. But I am pretty sure that Wall Street and Bitcoin price will be a big focus for him. If they run up he can always count on a broad support from many people since the investement culture is big in the US. Bill Clinton already knew „Its the Economy, stupid.“ and that will be Trumps focus too.

I hope he does some good for Crypto. There's a lot of expectation right now.

Yes. Definetely

and Kamala sat on the sidelines as he spoke, pissed off more than ever :D

From what Trump has said, it seems that people who have committed corruption will be held to account.
