RE: LeoThread 1.07

Can someone pls explain the actual mechanics of earning on #threads? Is it only when others vote on your posts? What about if they comment, or you comment on someone else's?

Love the platform and just trying to understand it better. Thx!

Sort:

later on those who have LEO staked will get payout from ad revenue the platform generates and a lot of that comes from the actions of threads 2/2

Commenting is #engagement and #voting is #voting on a comment, because technically #threads are comments on a ghost container post.

#threadsplained 🧶🦁🧶 #liquideye 🖖🏼😎🤙🏼

earning happens when people vote on your content or comments

that amount of earnings is based on each voter's staked LEO Power and Hive Power

every top level thread and comment are eligible for votes

You only earn when someone upvotes your thread, replay, or comment. It 100% depends on upvotes. No upvote, no earnings. Go to peakd.com, check notifications, scroll down and you can tell how much their HIVE upvote is worth.

Interesting, ok appreciate the detailed answer. I like the idea of engagement being rewarded but it seems that may also be exploited quite easily with bots like twitter. Good to know, thanks!

Threads is just a Hive front-end that displays comments.

So it works exactly the same as how you earn when your comments are upvoted anywhere else.

Only way you earn right now is through if someone with LEO/Hive likes the comment or thread. (Like I did here) However... 1/2

Upvotes give money, and that's about it.

I don't know if there will be a payout to users when ad revenue comes in, but I'm thinking that will go to HODLers.

For those who stake LEO right?
