the vowels are:

  • a- sounds like the a in alpha
  • e- sounds like the e in elephant
  • i- sounds like the i in impossible
  • o- sounds like the o in problem
  • u- sounds like the u in bus

English is weird, because the "e" and "a" sounds similar in some words. Haha.
