We have a saying here in Libya "ما يحس النار إلا لرجله فيها" which roughly means "No one feels fire except the one whose foot is on it."
Another variation is "إلا لعافس فيها" which changes it to "the one who's stamping on it" which is the same but sounds cooler in Arabic! #crossculture #freecompliments
