My experience is that claude 3.5 sonnet is more powerful for coding than chatgpt. Might be worth a try- you'll get far with just $10 worth of api credits
Both are of course really good, and honestly, almost the same to use. Do you use openai via chat.openai.com or via API key? I did the former until recently, until I discovered that it's actually cheaper to use via API instead. Plus the added bonus of having chatgpt directly inside my coding environment
Well, I use the Free version so using the API would actually not be cheaper for me... I hope that if this !RemindMe plan worked, I'll make enough money to move into bigger stuff. !LOLZ

Since I'm more used to ChatGPT I'll see how far I can go with that... Of course, I'm planning on trying Claude eventually!
