Upon entering Yanjin, visitors are greeted with the sheer strangeness of its geography. The narrow streets, where neighbors can practically shake hands from their windows, are flanked by towering buildings that cling to the mountainsides. With limited space available for roads, the town's main thoroughfare follows the river's meandering path, only allowing for two lanes of traffic. The atmosphere played out like a real-life depiction of a bustling but confined village.
