Be Considerate When Bargaining
Bargaining is a common practice in Nepal, but it’s essential to be mindful and considerate. Many vendors depend on their sales for their livelihoods. A small difference in price might seem negligible to tourists, but it can significantly impact the lives of local shopkeepers. Therefore, be reasonable in your negotiation while being respectful of their needs.
Bring Passport-Sized Photos
While packing, don’t forget to include passport-sized photos. These are required for various purposes such as obtaining a local SIM card, securing trekking permits, and checking into hotels. Carrying a few extra copies (around 4 to 6) will save you hassles along the way.
