Part 3/8:

Col Ross is steeped in history, dating back centuries and serving as an important religious center in the 1600s. It is famously known as the birthplace of St. Kentigern, also known as St. Mungo, who would go on to found the City of Glasgow. A fascinating tale of survival, St. Mungo’s story begins in 528 AD when a Scottish princess named Tenu faced dire circumstances but found refuge in Col Ross where she eventually gave birth to St. Kentigern.

From there, St. Kentigern embarked on a missionary journey, leading to the establishment of a large community on the banks of the River Clyde, which eventually blossomed into modern-day Glasgow.
