Part 3/8:
Honfleur: A Fairy-Tale Ambience
Our journey continued to the enchanting town of Honfleur, roughly an hour from Étretat. This quaint town appears as if plucked from the pages of a Mary Poppins storybook, thanks to its picturesque old port lined with colorful houses from the 16th to 18th centuries.
Walking along the port, I was captivated by the contrast of the charming architecture against the backdrop of moored boats. In the evening, the soft glow of the lights reflecting on the water creates a magical atmosphere that one must experience.
Rouen: A Historical Landmark
Inland from the coast lies Rouen, Normandy's capital and a historical marvel. Once a thriving medieval city, Rouen has a rich past, including the site where Joan of Arc was executed in 1431.
