The redevelopment project has generated significant interest, drawing over 200 design submissions from global architectural firms. Architects from places as far-flung as the U.S., Japan, and Brazil have participated, alongside numerous local teams from Lithuania. While some submissions proposed merging elements of the former Trade Union Chamber building into their designs, others suggested complete replacements. This call for creativity produced a spectrum of designs, some evoking traditional and innovative styles, while others were deemed more controversial or stark in their aesthetic choices.
