The antagonist, Daedalus, becomes a driving force of the narrative, emanating a chilling presence that connects the dots between the Chimera's intentions and Hale's predicament.
Despite its intriguing premise, some narrative choices feel forced, such as Hale's opportunities to take inhibitors that keep the virus at bay. Echo Squad could have benefited from more character development for their eventual losses to hit harder, signifying how the game sometimes struggles to balance pacing with emotional payoff.
