Recruitment agencies portray jobs in Russia as golden chances to escape poverty and build futures. Yet, the reality is hauntingly different; these contracts are mere bait leading to a life of exploitation.
Upon arrival in Russia, many recruits have their identification papers confiscated and are coerced into military service under duress. This vulnerability leaves them exposed; trapped in a foreign land with limited knowledge of the language or legal frameworks, they become pawns in a war that offers them nothing but peril.
