For nearly a decade, I thrived in a productive sales environment. My previous job granted me the freedom to set my own hours, engage with different clients daily, and earn a respectable income. However, following an acquisition by a larger American firm, the job dynamics shifted. New targets and increased prices limited our ability to sell effectively, forcing me to reassess my satisfaction in this role.
As a passionate salesperson, I have always been driven by the value delivered to my customers. When I realized we were no longer the market leaders in quality and service, I began to feel uncomfortable. Consequently, I decided to leave my well-paying sales job in hopes of pursuing new opportunities in a different industry.
