Achieving the milestone of 10,000 monthly active users was no small feat for the Hive team. The journey was lengthy, characterized by a continuous struggle to find effective strategies for onboarding users. The team embraced a trial-and-error approach, akin to throwing darts at a dartboard, wherein some initiatives thrived while others fell short.
The breakthrough came at the end of 2024, when Dash integration and the launch of a keystore function became pivotal in attracting a significant number of new accounts. However, while the growth in accounts was notable, the team clarified that not all accounts translate to active users. Abuse prevention measures were also discussed, indicating that while many accounts were created, robust systems were in place to filter out fraudulent entries.
