The company that harnesses AI with superhuman capabilities will effectively govern world dynamics, influencing everything from national security to daily socio-economic interactions. Thus, the emphasis on attracting AI investment and startups, while important, may distract from the more pressing issue: control over advanced AI technologies.
The fatal error in the political mindset is the assumption that they can catch up to or surpass leading models. As smaller firms increasingly rely on superior AI systems developed by larger corporations, the gap between AI "makers" and "takers" will only widen.
