Rich economists often find themselves in comfortable positions, receiving support from wealthy benefactors, and thus display a disinterest in broaching topics that could work against their interests or introduce complexities to their narratives. This entrenched perspective contributes to the broader systemic acceptance of inequality as an inconsequential issue.
