As players progress, they often become unaware of how many background programs their characters are running—much like having multiple browser tabs open simultaneously. The game's developers have disabled alerts for these programs, leading players to lag in their performance. These background tasks can include unresolved emotional baggage, distractions, or stale habits, which drain energy and focus.
Entropy, the gradual decline into chaos, poses a serious threat to character progression. To combat it, players must actively study Earth and its mechanics, learning how to optimize their gameplay. Most people, however, do not take this step, allowing themselves to become entangled in a cycle of mediocrity rather than striving for mastery.
