Post-lunch, the rest of the journey took a serious turn as the daylight began to fade. With about 30,000 steps still to go, this part of the walk would be the most mentally challenging, marred by darkness and fatigue. The atmosphere changed dramatically as the sun set, and the walker could feel the toll the terrain was taking; joints ached, feet were blistered, and cold settled in. Yet, the duo maintained their spirits, fueled by torches and a share of laughter, albeit strained.
