In my earlier days, I prioritized cost-cutting above all else, often at the expense of convenience. For instance, when flying from Colorado Springs to Atlanta, I would choose complex and inconvenient routes just to save a few bucks. Instead of taking the direct flight for $350, I would drive an hour and a half, at midnight, to fly from Denver and endure an exhausting layover simply to save money.
However, as I’ve now achieved greater financial security, I value my time more than the small savings I once chased. I’m now more inclined to spend a little extra for the sake of convenience, reflecting a broader shift in how I value my time in contrast to my money.
