After experimenting with various designs, such as the blob style popularized in Sydney, the designer settled on a classic rounded rectangle with black borders to eliminate visual confusion. A simple tick mark was chosen to symbolize stations, providing a clean and easy-to-recognize indicator for interchanges while avoiding interference in denser areas.
Final Touches and Considerations
After considerable refinement, the designer sought to enhance text visibility and incorporate fare zones subtly without crowding the diagram. Inspired by the work of renowned cartographers, zone labels were introduced next to stations to indicate travel areas effectively.
