The scope of the reconstruction is monumental. Over five seasons, crews mobilized equipment and established access roads, with each season's work requiring the transport of machinery via barge due to the region's severe winters. Crew members quarried rock from various locations in Washington and Oregon, closely tracking each stone by weight and identification number for proper placement.

Using a PC2000 excavator, operators meticulously selected stones weighing between 5 to 35 tons from the quarries. Once sorted, the massive stones were shipped hundreds of miles to a loading area along the Columbia River, ready for transport to the jetty site.
