While the idea of a European army has gained momentum recently, skepticism remains prevalent. A major hurdle is that creating a European Army would require unanimous agreement among EU countries, a feat that seems improbable given the differing attitudes toward defense and security within the bloc. Poland, for example, has already indicated it would veto any moves toward a European military force.
Furthermore, the EU is constituents to numerous economic challenges, raising doubts about its capacity to navigate discussions that could lead to such a monumental treaty. Legal and bureaucratic complexities must also be considered in this context.
