Despite my knowledge of several languages, including Arabic and French, Polish poses its own unique challenge. The Slavic languages have always been difficult for me to grasp, a reality I faced when trying to navigate basic phrases. As I prepared for my next destination, I found comfort in remembering the essential phrases needed in any new language: yes, no, excuse me, please, and thank you. Yet, with assistance from locals who spoke English exceptionally well, I felt reassured despite my language inadequacies.
