One of the highlights of my stay has been the warmth of the Polish people. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of English proficiency here, easing my journey despite my own shortcomings in Polish. It struck me how different the atmosphere is compared to what I’ve come to know in American cities, where caution and wariness often dominate the mindset. Here, I never felt unsafe—something I wished to emphasize whenever visiting new towns. The perception of danger can drastically shift based on your surroundings.
