Step one was to install a suitable flooring system, a tricky affair due to the presence of the rear engine. They crafted wooden flooring that allowed for access to the engine, ensuring that maintenance could be performed if necessary. Insulation was also crucial for noise reduction, and a sturdy plywood base was ultimately secured into place.
Following the flooring, the walls were framed, including a surprise addition: a kitchen cabinet designed to house essential appliances such as a microwave, refrigerator, and sink. This careful planning would allow them to maintain access to the sliding door while maximizing storage space.
