Part 2/7:
On February 18, Elon Musk’s AI venture X.AI unveiled Grok 3, touted by Musk as "scary smart." In its first demonstration, Grok 3 was asked to provide ideas regarding gravity and the unification of physical forces. One of its provocative suggestions was that gravity could be seen as a "macroscopic shadow of quantum entanglement," showcasing its capabilities within theoretical physics.
Testing by various users indicated that Grok 3 outperformed its peers in numerous benchmarks, including mathematics and scientific reasoning, even setting a record on the crowdsourced evaluation platform El Marina. However, while comparisons with models like GPT-4 revealed Grok 3’s strengths, notable limitations remained, such as its inability to simultaneously utilize its reasoning and search capabilities.
