Part 2/8:
The anticipation was dampened slightly by the previous night’s rain, which left the terrain wet and tricky. Despite the temperatures being relatively mild, I wondered how the snow would hold up under my skis. Some doubts lingered in my mind, but I resolved to push through, spurred by the hope that my efforts might create good karma for fellow racers on Sunday. Regardless of the outcome, I remained optimistic and was ready to put in the work, even if it meant finishing in group three again.
