Current projections, especially those from the United Nations, forecast a 30% reduction in the population—16 million South Koreans could vanish in just 35 years, making it the oldest country on the planet. By then, half of the population will be over 65, while fewer than 10% will be under 25. The societal impact of a silent, aging nation devoid of vibrant youth will result in desolate streets, abandoned cities, and communities largely comprising elderly individuals grappling with loneliness and poverty.
