The following week, I underwent a biopsy, an invasive procedure through which they drilled into my skull to obtain a sample. I anticipated swift results, much like a typical blood test. Instead, I learned that pathology results would take six to eight weeks—a timeline that felt agonizing as I managed the emotional rollercoaster of waiting for potentially life-altering news.
During that waiting period, I also engaged with a physiotherapist, which led to the revelation that some of my headaches had stemmed from tight shoulder muscles. Treatment was effective, and my headaches finally subsided. However, the stress of my uncertain diagnosis remained an ever-present burden.
