Emory Estates, located in Weymouth, Massachusetts, is a historical property built in 1903 by the Benan family. This stunning estate was designed to replicate George Washington's Mount Vernon, showcasing magnificent columns and a sweeping lawn that once extended to Boston Harbor. The estate became well known in the following years, particularly after being purchased by the Emory family in 1916. Renowned wool traders, the Emory family inhabited the estate for nearly a century, with the last resident, Alan Emory Jr., passing away in 2010 at the age of 91.
