As the story unfolds, the tranquility of their village life is shattered when Rayan’s parents go missing after a trip to town. Rayan, filled with anxiety and a sense of duty, strives to care for Durga and his brothers. Fear strikes when he learns from the local priest that plans have been made to sell Durga as no one knows her parents' fate. In a desperate act of bravery, Rayan defends his sister and devises a clever escape to the city, where he believes he can create a better future for his family.
