Part 2/7:
As Joe continues on his path, the somber tone of the town is evident. Upon arriving at a local inn disrupted by tension, he meets Sveno, an old innkeeper who, despite knowing Joe is broke, offers him food and shelter. Sveno shares tales of woe about the many deaths that have occurred, primarily among the men of the village. This conversation with Sveno sets up the backdrop of the town's troubles, primarily revolving around two feuding factions: Sheriff John Baxter's family and the Rojo Brothers—Don Miguel, Estaban, and Ramone.
