In search of advice, Wyatt confides in his friend Steve, an FBI agent. Steve reveals his suspicions about the prison's rampant corruption, where 12 inmates had mysteriously died in a month, and suggests an undercover operation, given Wyatt's background in Special Forces. Despite a troubled career, Wyatt ultimately decides to investigate the prison. His motivation is juxtaposed with the desire to provide for his family, an inclination that drives him deeper into danger.
Undercover Trials
Wyatt’s entrance into the prison is dramatic. He stages a carjacking to attract police attention, which lands him behind bars for stealing a police car and assaulting an officer. The warden greets him with an ominous welcoming, reminding all inmates of his ironclad authority.
