Part 3/10:
As Rose prepares for their journey, Christopher, unaware of her plan, discovers her research about Silent Hill—the site of underground fires and haunted histories. Dismayed, he attempts to intervene, suggesting that a hospital might be a better refuge for Sharon, but Rose is adamant, believing that medication would not benefit her daughter. As they leave, an officer named Cybil observes them from a distance.
On their way, Rose and Sharon encounter a gas station attendant who ominously informs them that the road to Silent Hill no longer exists. Monetary setbacks lead to more tensions when Christopher blocks their cards to prevent Rose from making the journey. Ignoring his advice, Rose speeds away from Cybil when she attempts to stop them.
