Part 2/13:
Upon arriving, Michael hails a taxi, but is met with confusion when the driver, referring to himself as 147, explains that he operates only within village parameters. This marks the beginning of a futile search for escape, as Michael learns that the train station he seeks does not exist and that his inquiries for help fall upon uncomprehending ears. Eventually, he persuades 147 to take him to the address 554 and is directed to a diner, where he encounters 554, the waitress. Upon revealing the old man's identity as 93, a notorious drunkard known for his bizarre ramblings, this connection gives Michael a glimmer of hope that perhaps he can find clarity amidst his chaos.
