Part 4/9:
Loyalty Tested in the Face of Torture
Imprisoned and subjected to brutal torture on a train yard, John ingests a poison capsule hidden within his clothes as a means of preventing information extraction. However, he awakes later on a medical ship, discovering that the capsule was merely a sedative used to test his loyalty to the agency. Now thrust into a new mission, John is armed only with the cryptic code word “Tenet.”
As John navigates through this world, he swiftly learns about "inverted" time, a phenomenon where objects and people move backwards through time, drastically altering the nature of reality itself. This foreshadows the film's intricate relationship with time manipulation and the broader implications it carries for humanity's future.
