Part 2/8:
The story opens with Albert confronting a menacing cowboy who threatens to take revenge on his family due to the damages his sheep have caused. Despite his initial bravado, Albert succumbs to his cowardly instincts, inventing excuses to avert a gunfight. His meekness escalates into disaster as the cowboy shoots him in the leg, leaving him vulnerable and chiding him for his lack of bravery.
As the sun sets on his folly, Albert’s girlfriend Louise arrives to express her disappointment. Their subsequent picnic reveals deeper issues, leading to Louise breaking up with Albert, who professes his love but can do little to convince her otherwise. This breakup marks the beginning of Albert’s tumultuous journey through the Wild West, laden with emotional turmoil.
