Now an adult, Elijah has cultivated a deep appreciation for comic books, seeing them not just as entertainment but as reflections of ancient myths and archetypes. Their paths cross when Elijah expresses an interest in David’s remarkable health, pointing to an uncanny connection between them.
Elijah’s life revolves around his vulnerabilities, and in their conversations, he wonders if David, the sole survivor of the train derailment, may embody the opposite of his own fragile existence. While Joseph dreams of his father as a superhero, David grows increasingly skeptical of Elijah’s theories, viewing them as nothing more than whimsical delusions.
